It’s Only Rock n’ Roll Baby!

Rock Chick Bridal Shoot, shot a couple of weeks back with an awesome group of wedding suppliers. It was lovely to work with such talented creative people and a great opportunity to work on something a bit different

see more pics here : It’s Only Rock n’ Roll Baby!

Our stunning model Belle had long beautiful flowing hair and was simply perfect for the shoot. Belle had coloured her hair an amazing shade of violet, especially with our rock shoot in mind!  Using the likes of Gwen Stefani and Pink as style inspiration, Gillian worked Belle’s crowing glory to the max, and was certainly on pointe in delivering to the style brief. I personally love the way the front of Belle’s hair has been quiffed to give that rocky edge; whilst still retaining a distinctly feminine look with the beautifully intricate fishtail plait to the back.

thanks guys, it was a pleasure to work with you

An intimate and informal real wedding at 60 Hope Street, Liverpool.

Rachel Ryan Photography

Never let a wedding blog tell you there are things you need to have: there aren’t. All you need is the two of you – everything else is optional. Clare and Dan’s wedding at 60 Hope Street is simple, minimalist… and all the more romantic for it. The love that shines in their photographs warms my heart. Clare found her wedding suppliers on the internet and through recommendations – and her photographer Rachel Ryan was a super find on Facebook!

There are no needless details in today’s wedding; instead Dan and Clare spent on the things which were more important to them. Photography, of course – and a fabulous dress, quirky venue and stylish wedding invites from Not on the High Street. Flowers were elegant and simple; place settings were pretty and clutter-free. The venue is just gorgeous…

I’m Featured on Style me Pretty

Taken From English Country Manor Shoot

“Everything about this shoot captured by Victoria Phipps and styled by Sarah Garrod is my dream. The Justin Alexander gown, the stunning florals from Emma Fawcett-Eustace, the elegant stationery from the Project Pretty – it’s all so perfectly elegant and timeless”

by Abby Capalbo for Style Me Pretty Destination

But best of all the hair was styled by me! take a peek here at the rest of the photos and my claim to fame!

…The theme was ‘early 20th century english glamour’ and we tried to create a bit of a story around two strangers coming together in marriage. The models had never met before, so they appreciated the irony!

   Victoria Phipps

We shot at Iscoyd Park, which is a beautiful and intimate grade II listed country house in Shropshire, England. One of the main reasons we chose this location was because of the elegant reception rooms and finely decorated bedrooms, all with tall georgian windows giving an abundance of natural light. The perfect setting for an intimate wedding. The grounds of Iscoyd Park are delightful and fortunately the light was perfect!

We dressed a long slim table in the main reception room with a trio of tall floral centrepieces. The bright pink roses and red winter berries were coupled with wintry foliage resulting in a pleasing mix of warm and cool tones. The fabulous black and white wedding stationery was designed by Project Pretty.

We created two different looks for the bride, with two beautiful Justin Alexander dresses and different headpieces & hairstyles. The groom wore classic black tie.
